Gunasekaran Sengottuvelu

Dr.Sengottuvelu is a key opinion leader in complex coronary and structural heart interventions in the Asia pacific region. Based in Chenna India, he has contributed significantly to cardiovascular research and innovation, with several publications. He is in the editorial board of journals including Asia Intervention and Indian Heart Journal.
He is the director of heart valve foundation of India and founder course director of India’s largest Transcatheter Valve course “India Valves” and founder director of Imaging and Physiology council of India.
He has received several accolades for his academic contributions. Notable among them are recipient of the Prestigious Award for Excellence for Outstanding Accomplishments & Contributions from CCT in Kobe-shi, Hyogo, Japan (2013), “CRT Young Leader Award” , Washington DC( 2013), Young Interventionalist Award at AICT (2008), Thailand, “Distinguished Researcher Award” from AHEL and several others.
He is involved with PCR on its educational activities and is a committee member in Asia PCR and Tokyo valves.
Dr.Sengottuvelu is a gifted teacher, performed several live demonstrations, proctored several physicians and responsible for initiating TAVI in several hospitals across Asia.
