Dr Adrián Jerónimo is an Interventional Cardiology fellow at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid (Spain). He studied Medicine at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and completed his General Cardiology training at Hospital Clínico San Carlos. He has collaborated in several research projects, including the AID ANGIO study, in which he plays a principal role. His main areas of interest are complex PCI, coronary physiology and intravascular imaging, being part of the CTO programme at Hospital Clínico San Carlos. In addition, he will be finishing his PhD in infective endocarditis and TAVI by the end of 2024.

Alejandro Travieso was born in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain), he got his degree in Medicine at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2014, including a 1-year stage at La Sapienza University in Rome as part of the Erasmus program. Later, he specialized in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid. He later performed a fellowship in structural interventions at Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen, Denmark) and now he works as an Interventional Cardiologist at Hospital Clinico San Carlos. He has collaborated in several research projects, such as the 5-year follow up of the DEFINE-FLAIR trial, the Cerebral Coronary Connection study (C3) and the AID-Angio study. His main areas of expertise are complex PCI, coronary physiology and intravascular imaging.

Angela McInerney is an Interventional Cardiologist at University Hospital Galway, Ireland. Following completion of her basic cardiology training in Ireland she was awarded the Brian McGovern Travelling Fellowship grant from the Irish Board for Cardiology Training in 2018 which allowed her to start her interventional fellowship in Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid, Spain. Following two years of coronary training including complex PCI, she was awarded an European Society of Cardiology Fellowship Training Grant and completed a further year of structural intervention also in Clínico San Carlos, Madrid. Her specialist interests are in intracoronary imaging, intracoronary physiology, calcium modification techniques and complex PCI. She has been keenly involved in various research projects pertaining to intracoronary physiology and intravascular imaging having authored and co-authored a number of research articles as well as review articles and book chapters on these topics. During her fellowship she also regularly partook in the preparation and delivery of educational courses in Clínico San Carlos and values the educational aspect of her role as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist.

Dr Ashok Seth is Chairman of Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi and Adjunct Professor of Cardiology at JN Medical College (Aligarh Muslim University) and National Board of Examinations. Dr Seth has led the field of Interventional Cardiology for last 30-years and has contributed extensively to the development, scientific progress and education in this field and pioneered numerous angioplasty techniques for India and Asia Pacific. Dr Seth has been awarded by the National Honour of Padma Shri in 2003, Padma Bhushan in 2015 and ‘B.C.Roy National Award’ for the most ‘Eminent Medical Person’ by the President of India in January 2017. He has also been awarded the National Honour of Republic of Spain “Crus Officer with Insignia Order of Isabella the Catholic”, Master Interventionalist (MSCAI) by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (USA) in addition to 85 other national and international awards. Dr Seth has been honoured by Doctorates from six prestigious national universities. He has been conferred ‘Adjunct Professorship of Cardiology’ of J N Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University and the National Board of Examinations. He is Founder/Course Director of five major National & International Teaching Courses - India Live, India Valves, CHIP-CTO India, AICT-AsiaPCR and Imaging & Physiology Council of India. He is also Associate Director of TCT Scientific Sessions (USA) and Program Committee Member of EuroPCR. Dr Seth has been invited to lecture at more than 400 national & international meetings and to teach complex angioplasty techniques through Live Demonstration at more than 100 national & international meetings around the world. He has more than 350-publications to his credit in peer reviewed Indian and International medical journals and has chapters in 30-books on Cardiology and has been the Editor of 3-books. He is an acclaimed teacher and has trained more than 500-cardiologists of India and abroad in advanced techniques of angioplasty.

Dr Breda Hennessey graduated from the Third Faculty of Medicine in Charles University in Prague. Following this, she returned to Ireland to complete her general medical and higher specialist cardiology training. In 2019, she was awarded the Brian McGovern Scholarship by the Irish Cardiac Society, and this allowed her to commence her subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid. She completed a two-year coronary interventional fellowship, with a focus on intracoronary imaging, invasive physiology and ultra-low dose contrast intervention. Following completion of her coronary training, she undertook a further fellowship in structural intervention, also at Hospital Clínico San Carlos. In addition to her clinical work, she has been involved in various research projects pertaining to ultra-low dose contrast PCI, investigating the impact of new technologies in reducing contrast burden in complex PCI . She has authored and co-authored a number of research articles, book chapters and has contributed to the European association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions textbook. During her time at Hospital Clinico San Carlos, she completed a Masters in Interventional Cardiology and is currently undertaking a PHD at the Complutense University of Madrid with a focus in ultra-low dose contrast PCI. Throughout her fellowship, she regularly took part in the preparation and delivery of educational courses, both at Hospital Clinico San Carlos and in collaboration with other tertiary referral centres and international cardiology societies in Spain, the UK and the UAE.

Dr Dejan Milasinovic is an interventional cardiologist at the Department of Cardiology, Clinical Center of Serbia. He is also an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. His main research interests focus in the fields of the invasive treatment of acute coronary syndromes and complex coronary interventions, with an emphasis on bifurcation PCI and intracoronary guidance. In 2016, Dr Milasinovic received the EuroPCR 2016 Best Abstract award, for a work on the timing of invasive coronary intervention in patients with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. He is a member of European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) and has served as program committee member of the annual EuroPCR conference. Dr Milasinovic also serves on the editorial boards of EuroIntervention (editorial consultant) and PCRonline and is the Chair of the EAPCI Young committee.

Prof Erick Schampaert is a Professor of Medicine, University of Montreal. He has been Interventional cardiologist, Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montreal, since 1997, serving as Head of Division of Cardiology since 2006; Chair, CIUSSS NIM HSCM Cardiovascular Health Program since 2014 and Director of Clinical CV Research unit since 2001. Prof Schampaert’s research is focused mainly on Left Main PCI, Coronary physiology (FFR, iFR, CFR), Coronary imaging (IVUS and OCT), and ACS (STEMI) and platelet functions. Prof Schampaert is a Local PI for more than 75 clinical trials and is an author or co-author of more than 75 manuscripts in journals such as NEJM, Lancet, Circulation, JACC, EHJ.

Prof Farrel Hellig is the Cathlab Director at Sunninghill Hospital (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Hon Professor of Cardiology at the University of Cape Town. He is involved in both the coronary and structural cardiac fields as well as peripheral interventions. Sunninghill Hospital is a referral centre for complex medical problems. In the coronary arena, his main interests are: complex multivessel disease, left main intervention, management of coronary calcification and chronic total occlusion. He has been active in the field of coronary physiology and imaging. In the structural space, his interests are in valvular disease, septal closure, paravalvular leak closure, LAA occlusion and GUCH intervention. He is active in research, including numerous FIH studies. He has many educational roles, including: director of Africa PCR, numerous presentations and live case transmissions to multiple international congresses and is a proctor for many different procedures. He has numerous publications, editorials and book chapters, and is on the editorial board of Eurointervention journal. In his spare time he plays saxophone, collects wine, cooks, and builds and flies model aircraft.

Dr. Giulia Nardi is an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Hospital Clinico San Carlos (Madrid). She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florence (Italy), where she also completed her Cardiology training. She has a special interest in complex PCI, including CTOs and calcified lesions, and has hands-on experience in intravascular imaging and physiology. She is passionate about education and training, with active participation in international conferences and courses such as EuroPCR, GISE, JIM GISE, and Renew PCI, among others.

Professor Jacek Legutko is an interventional cardiologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. His main research interest is focused on primary PCI in acute myocardial infarction, intravascular imaging and physiology lesion assessment in the cathlab, as well as complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). He has performed a series of studies in those areas and has participated in many clinical trials. Professor Legutko is a Course Director at the New Frontiers in Interventional Cardiology (NFIC), an international congress organized annually in Krakow, Poland since 1999. He has also served as a Faculty member, live case operator and facilitator for several interventional cardiology meetings including EuroPCR, PCR Africa, TCT, C3, CardioEgypt, and WCCI. Professor Legutko received several professional awards, including prestigious “Andreas Award” granted for his personal impute on the development of interventional cardiology in Poland.

Prof Javier Escaned is Head of Section (Interventional Cardiology Section) at Hospital Clinico San Carlos / Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). He trained in the United Kingdom as Specialist in Cardiology and obtained his PhD in The Netherlands. Author of >700 indexed scientific articles on interventional cardiology, imaging and physiology (h-index 100) and over 30 years of experience as PCI operator, he regularly lectures and performs live cases at major scientific and educational meetings. He is a recipient of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Silver Medal and the Andreas Grüntzig Award for his contributions to the fiedl fo Interventional Cardiology. Main areas of expertise include complex PCI, intracoronary diagnostics and functional coronary angiography. His track record in coronary physiology comprises being investigator on pioneer FFR trials like DEFER (1998), collaborator with Justin Davies in the validation and clinical implementation of iFR, and developer of new tools for the assessment of coronary microcirculation. Editorial roles include Deputy Editor EHJ, Advisory Editor Eurointervention, editor of the textbooks “Coronary Stenosis: Imaging, Structure and Physiology” and “Physiological Assessment of Coronary Stenoses and the Microcirculation". Recent board positions include EAPCI board / Education Committee Chair, ESC WG Coronary Pathophysiology and Microcirculation, EuroCTO Board. Recent trials as Principal Investigator include ADVISE II, DEFINE FLAIR, SYNTAX II, PIONEER IV, Cerebral-Coronary-Connection (C3), DCR4Contrast, INOCA LongCovid and AID ANGIO. Additional interests are philosophy and music.

Dr Justin Davies is a board member of Monaco Cardio at the Princess Grace Hospital, Monaco, and an interventional cardiologist with over 15 years of experience as a leading educator in the field. His clinical and academic career was established at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London, where he built an international reputation for innovation in cardiovascular medicine. Over the course of his career, he has successfully mentored 15 PhD students, published more than 500 peer-reviewed papers — including landmark studies in the New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet — and holds 20 patents in cardiovascular medicine and technology. He was the co-principal investigator of the DEFINE-FLAIR study, which helped establish iFR (Instantaneous Wave-Free Ratio), a diagnostic technique he invented, as a globally adopted standard in coronary physiology. His work reflects a unique blend of scientific innovation, academic leadership, and clinical excellence. Dr. Luca Paolucci is a clinical/research fellow in interventional cardiology at Hospital Clinico San Carlos/Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). He obtained his medical degree at the University "Tor Vergata" in Rome (Italy, 2017) and completed his residency in cardiovascular diseases at University "Campus Bio-Medico" in Rome (Italy 2022). He worked as interventional cardiologist between 2022 and 2023 at Clinica Mediterranea, Naples (Italy).

Professor Mamas Mamas is one of the five course directors of TCT Plus Middle East. Professor Mamas trained in Medicine at the University of Oxford, completing his clinical training in 2000. He is a Professor of Cardiology at Keele University and is a practicing interventional cardiologist with a special interest in intracoronary imaging. Professor Mamas a Board member of EAPCI and member of ESC CardioOncology council and the National Audit Lead of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society responsible for national PCI reporting. He serves as an Associate Editor of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions . Professor Mamas is the Clinical Director of the Centre for Prognosis Research at Keele University, and leads a group of clinicians, data scientists and statisticians whose research interests focus around the use of routinely collected electronic healthcare data to inform the diagnosis, treatment and clinical outcomes of real-world patients with cardiovascular disease. He has published over 900 peer-reviewed manuscripts, cited over 49,000 times using big data in populations with cardiovascular disease, with a particular interest in studying CV outcomes in patients with cancer.

Dr. Marco Lombardi is an interventional cardiologist at the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria of Alessandria, Italy. He obtained his medical degree from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome in 2018. He completed his cardiology residency at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Rome, Italy) and pursued an interventional cardiology fellowship at Hospital Clínico San Carlos / Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). Dr. Lombardi also served as a research fellow at the VCU Pauley Heart Center (Richmond, USA) and is currently completing a PhD at the University of Genoa (Genoa, Italy). His main research interests focus on complex PCI, intracoronary physiology and imaging.

Matthias Götberg, MD, Ass. Prof. works as an interventional cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Skane University Hospital, Lund, Sweden. Dr. Götberg has worked in the SCAAR steering committee for many years, and is currently vice chairman of the SWENTRY registry. Dr. Gotberg has been principal investigator/investigator of numerous clinical trials, has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His main interests are in the field of coronary physiology, complex coronary interventions, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.

Dr. Natalia Pinilla is an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine Division of Cardiology at McMaster University and currently an Interventional Cardiology Staff at Hamilton Health Sciences and Niagara Health. She is the Cath Lab Director at Niagara Health and the Program Director of the Intravascular Coronary Imaging Fellowship in McMaster University. Dr. Pinilla has trained national and international interventional cardiologists in Complex Coronary Interventions and Intracoronary Imaging. She leads educational programs and academic activities worldwide; and has become a career mentor for international trainees.

Dr Nieves Gonzalo is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Clinico San Carlos University Hospital, Madrid, Spain. She obtained her Specialist Certification in Cardiology after training at Clinico San Carlos University Hospital in Madrid. Subsequently, she underwent a research fellowship at Thoraxcenter, Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands) focused mainly in intracoronary imaging and bioabsorbable stents. In 2010 she obtained her PhD with the thesis “Optical coherence tomography for the assessment of coronary atherosclerosis and vessel response after stent implantation”. Her track record includes over 170 articles indexed in PubMed, as well as book chapters in Interventional Cardiology textbooks. Recent research projects as principal investigator includes studies about neoatherosclerosis, vessel injury and healing after stent implantation and patterns of calcification in coronary disease. Dr Gonzalo is a dedicated educationalist with involvement in many areas of complex PCI. In 2022, Dr Gonzalo was appointed as a course director for EuroPCR, she also serves as a deputy editor of EuroIntervention, and as a co-chair of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) Scientific Documents and Initiatives Committee.

Dr Pablo Salinas is an interventional cardiologist at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid, Spain. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and completed his training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Hospital La Paz in Madrid. He later obtained his PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Salinas is a highly skilled operator in complex percutaneous coronary interventions (CHIP and CTO). His expertise also includes patent foramen ovale closure, left atrial appendage closure, and pulmonary embolism intervention. Throughout his research career, Dr. Salinas has authored more than 100 indexed publications and is actively involved in multicenter clinical trials in the fields of PCI, stroke prevention interventions, and pulmonary embolism treatment. His clinical approach emphasizes the refinement of interventional techniques to achieve optimal outcomes while prioritizing the patient’s perspective and experience. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Salinas is actively engaged in education and training at a teaching university hospital with an international interventional fellowship program. He frequently participates in educational events and live case demonstrations. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys photography, tennis, and hiking mountain trails.

Dr Pilar Jiménez-Quevedo is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Clinico San Carlos University Hospital in Madrid. She received her medical degree from the University of Navarra in 1997 and Doctor cum laude in Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid (2007). She obtained her Specialist Certification in Cardiology after training at Clinico San Carlos University Hospital in Madrid in 2003. She obtained her Masters in Interventional Cardiology from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2005. Subsequently she completed a prestigious Research Fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute, Houston, USA between 2005-2006. Since 2006, she has been an Interventional Cardiology Consultant at Clinico San Carlos University Hospital in Madrid with a focus on both clinical and research activities. She is currently a Clinical Tutor of the Cardiology Resident training program. She is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and served as a member of the board of directors of the Spanish Interventional Cardiology Society from 2015 to 2017. Her H index is 46. She has published 200 articles in indexed publications and more than 200 presentations at congresses. Since 2015, she has been responsible for the Spanish national TAVI registry.

Dr Rasa Ordiené is an experienced interventional cardiologist with a strong educational and professional background. She completed her PhD at the Lithuania University of Health Sciences and specialized in cardiology during her medical residency. Her medical training includes a master's degree in medicine from Kaunas University of Medicine and a postgraduate medical internship at Kaunas 3rd Clinical Hospital. Since 2014, Dr. Ordiené has been working as a cardiologist in the Interventional Cardiology Department at the Hospital of Lithuania University of Health Sciences Kaunas Clinics. She also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic and echocardiography at Hammersmith Hospital in London in 2014.

Dr Roberto Garbo is the Director of the CTO PCI, CHIP, and complex PCI program in Maria Pia Hospital GVM Care & Research, Turin, Italy. He was Head of the Cath Lab at San Giovanni Bosco Hospital from 2005-2020. He is the Director of the International Turin CTO & CHIP Live Congress. He has been Board member of EuroCTO Club from 2017 to 2023. Dr Garbo is one of the greatest experts in the world in the field of IVUS guided CTO in both antegrade and retrograde approach, with more than 2400 CTO of which more than 1100 retrograde CTO PCI. He performed as Live first operator more than 100 CTO PCI live cases during international CTO Congress . He is a Proctor for CTO PCI programs in Italy, Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Czech republic, Russia) and Middle East (Egypt, Saudi Arabia), as well as an expert and proctor for Rotational Atherectomy in very calcified lesion (more than 1000 cases as first operator). He is also involved in many scientific projects with more than 130 papers in the field of CTO and Complex PCI.

Stephan Achenbach, MD, FSCCT is the Chairman of Cardiology and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Erlangen, Germany. His research interests focus on cardiovascular imaging, mainly computed tomography, for the early detection and characterization of coronary atherosclerosis and for the support of coronary and cardiovascular interventional procedures.

Prof Sunao Nakamura is one of the most experienced interventional cardiologist Japan. He have performed more than 25,000 cases of PCI and 10,000 cases of chronic total occlusion (CTO) in his career which is the biggest number in the world. He has a very unique background as a researcher; studying basic molecular science (molecular cell biology) and clinical science in university more than 10 years in his younger days. Then, the encounter with Prof. Shigeru Saito, who is a great leader of interventional cardiologist in Japan made Prof. Nakamura suddenly shift his main field of cardiology to Interventional cardiology due to respect of great works of Prof. Shigeru Saito. After accumulating big number of the PCI cases, following the Prof. Saito’s words, Dr. Nakamura had started to share his experience of PCI in Asian countries from early 30‘s of his age spending half a year in foreign countries. As a result of through these activities over the years, he has built incredibly great relations with many doctors through the experience of PCI cases and many discussions. His motto is that all the patients around the world should be properly saved, so he had generously taught every kind of PCI technique, skill and knowledge to many doctors. He is also fully engaged in the leading edge of clinical activities and researches for many years. During this period, many clinical and basic studies were conducted, keeping the pace of 30 papers published per year. Especially in close relation with Professor Antonio Colombo, Italy, Professor IK Jan, USA, there are many collaborated clinical studies with them. His dream is to make the world's leading heart center where medical research from basic to clinical is conducted collecting Crème de la Crème Doctors in the world.
