He graduated from medical school at the University of Düsseldorf in 2003 and was board certified in internal medicine in 2010, in intensive care medicine in 2011 and in cardiology in 2013, as well as in vascular medicine and in heart failure in 2020. His clinical interest and research include complex PCI, intravascular imaging, coronary physiology, aortic diseases (TEVAR, TAVI) and structural interventions. Prof. Jánosi is the Principal Investigator for the DEFINE-GPS trial at the University Hospital Essen.

He completed the prestigious Milan-Imperial Interventional Cardiology Fellowship programme, having spent a year in San Raffaele and Columbus Hospitals, Milan, Italy, under the tutelage of Professor Antonio Colombo.
